Information we collect
School Rank is a public data directory and does not require an account to use. We collect the following limited information automatically or when you choose to provide it:
- Usage data — via Google Analytics (page views, approximate location, device/browser type) to understand how the site is used.
- Contact form submissions — the name, email address and message you provide when you contact us, used solely to respond to your enquiry.
- Locally-stored preferences — favourites and compare lists are stored only in your browser's local storage on your own device. This data is never transmitted to or stored on our servers.
Advertising
We display advertising via Google AdSense, which may use cookies to serve ads based on your prior visits to this or other websites. You can opt out of personalised advertising through Google's Ad Settings.
How we use information
We use the information above only to operate and improve the site, respond to enquiries, and understand aggregate usage patterns. We do not sell personal information to third parties.
Your rights under POPIA
You may request access to, correction of, or deletion of any personal information you've submitted to us (such as a contact form message) by emailing hello@schoolrank.co.za.

The school, matric and subject data published on this site is sourced from public Department of Basic Education datasets and does not constitute personal information about individuals — see our data sources page for details.
